As teachers gear up for the Common Core State Standards (CCSSM), the importance of Transformation Geometry is growing. I think teachers are a little concerned about this new approach to geometry because of their lack of familiarity with the power of Transformational Geometry. However, in my opinion, students gain a deeper understanding of geometry and proof with Transformational Geometry. A student will be more successful using any of the dynamic geometry software such as Cabri or Sketchpad if they think in tranformations!
